This privacy policy is designed to inform users of the Primate Conservation, Inc. website (the “Site”) about how Primate Conservation, Inc. (“Primate Conservation,” “we” or “us”) gathers and uses personal information submitted to Primate Conservation through the Site. What Information Do We Collect?

 

Personal Information:  The Site allows customers who are interested in Primate Conservation or its activities to contact Primate Conservation.  If you contact Primate Conservation through the Site, we will collect your name and email address and any additional contact information (such as address or telephone number) or educational or academic information that you choose to disclose to us (“Personal Information”).

 

Aggregate Information:  We may employ generally used web tracking technologies, such as cookies that collect anonymous traffic data, in order to collect information such as IP host address, pages viewed, and the manner in which you navigated through the Site, and may aggregate such information in a manner that does not identify any individual ("Aggregate Information").

 

How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

 

Personal Information:  If you provide Personal Information to us, we may enter such information into our contact management database. We will also enter into our contact management database information about your membership and contributions to Primate Conservation. We will use information about your membership to enable you to access and use portions of the Site available only to members. We may also occasionally use the information in our contact management database to contact you and send you materials regarding Primate Conservation and its activities and your membership.

 

Aggregated Data:  Primate Conservation uses Aggregate Information only in an aggregate form that does not identify the individual user, and only for us to understand the performance of the Site. For example, we may develop Aggregate Information on Site and content usage, such as by keeping count of return visitors to the Site and assessing which pages of the Site are most popular.  This allows us to determine which features members like best to help us improve our content and Site, personalize your user experience, and measure overall Site effectiveness.

Anonymous, Aggregated Information:  We may disclose Aggregate Information to third parties such as partners and funding sources, to describe our organization and operations, and otherwise to assist and develop Primate Conservation’s operations and goals.

 

How Can You Opt Out of Use and Disclosure of Your Information?

 

If you would like your Personal Information removed from our mailing list or database, please contact us.  In the event of any such removal, Primate Conservation may retain copies of the information for its archives.

 

Access and Updating of Information

You can update your information in the "My Account" section of this site or by contacting us.  Primate Conservation will respond to any reasonable request by a user to review or amend his or her Personal Information held in our mailing list or database.  Primate Conservation reserves the right to verify your identity in order to provide such access.

Links: The Site may contain links to other websites. Primate Conservation is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites. Users should be aware of this when they leave our Site and review the privacy statements of each website they visit that collects information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Primate Conservation.

 

Amendments: Primate Conservation may modify or amend this policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, as determined by Primate Conservation, in the way in which Personal Information is collected, used or transferred, we will notify you of these changes by modification of this Privacy Policy, which will be available for review by you at the Site.  Notwithstanding any modifications we may make, any Personal Information collected by Primate Conservation from you will be treated in accordance with the privacy policy in effect at the time information was collected, unless we obtain your consent otherwise.

 

Website Visitors from outside the United States:  Primate Conservation and its servers are located in the United States and are subject to the applicable state and federal laws of the United States.  If you choose to access the Site, you consent to the use and disclosure of information in accordance with this privacy policy and subject to such laws.
